Mountain Kids! Greatest Hits: Earth, Air, Fire and Water

Mountain Kids! Four Seasons Outdoor Equity Program provides kids with an opportunity to get out to play and learn in nature.  We are offering camp to families in need of support at 50-100% off. During this week we will explore all four elements: earth, air, fire and water, to give kids the greatest hits of Mountain Kids! and an experience that they will not forget.

Camp runs from 9 am-3:30 pm with early care available starting at 8am if needed. Please indicate this when you register.

We will be meeting at Swan Park and transporting the kids to the mountains each day to explore, learn and play in nature. Kids will need to come prepared with a backpack, lunch, water, hat, rain jacket, and a carseat or booster if they require one.  A complete packing list will be sent once campers register.

Please email Vikki: hello@sfmountainkids.com or call 505-886-1207 for questions. Thank you!

Wonders of Water!

Strap on your water shoes and get ready to splash around in the beautiful mountain streams of Santa Fe. Not only will you get to play and explore in our magical waters, you will also learn where our water comes from,  where it goes, and the importance of taking care of our watershed.

Ready for something truly wondrous? Our wilderness skills expert will also teach you several techniques for safe water purification so that you always have enough water to drink and cook with on your next outdoor adventure!

Mountain Kids! After School Fridays

Join the afterschool Fridays program this spring with Mountain Kids! Each Friday, students will explore a different area of the mountains around Santa Fe through engaging games, activities and nature walks. Every Friday, new themes will be investigated including ecology, nature awareness, survival skills, insects, conservation, birds and archery.

Studies (and experience) show that being outside in nature is good for children’s social, emotional and spiritual health. Children develop greater confidence, team work skills and build up tolerance for adversity by spending time outside, and so much more.  All of this while having fun, getting dirty, and best for parents; tired!
