Learning the secret language of birds opens up a whole new way of understanding our forests and what is happening around us. Amidst our adventures into nature, we will learn bird language, and listen and look for birds. We will learn about local species and what they eat. Of course, birds love to eat bugs, so we will capture bugs using pitfall traps, funnel traps, potato traps and finger traps, to view them up close. We will visit the Wildlife Center to see some local raptors and get a special tour of the Bug Museum by Wade Harrell, bug-collector extraordinaire! There will be lots of buggy and birdy fun for adventures of all ages!
