During our winter camp we will explore the dramatic beauty created by volcanic activity near Santa Fe, and immerse ourselves in local habitats. From Deer Creek to Ghost Ranch, we will gather materials to make seasonal crafts, engage in games, stories, primitive skills, hiking, and free play. Observations of nature will be a part of each day as we develop an awareness of and respect for all living things.
We may embark on a day of play and snowshoeing in the higher mountains if there is snow available.
We will provide warm tea, freshly made with the children, and all materials and transportation.
