Payment Policies: Registration, Fees & Refunds

This page outlines Mountain Kids!’ registration process, fees, refund policies, and pricing options. Our goal is to provide clear, transparent information so families can plan with confidence and choose the option that best fits their needs.


Registration & Fees

Deposits 

  • A non-refundable deposit is required for all programs
    • Adventure Days – $50 
    • After-School Adventures – $100
    • School Break Camps – $100
    • Summer Camp – $100

Registration Fees

  • ACTIVE charges a $6.45 non-refundable registration fee per session

Cancellations & Refunds

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to: hello@mountainkidsnm.org

After-School Programs

  • Full refunds (minus deposit) are available within the first 14 days of the session

Adventure Days, School Break Programs & Summer Camps

  • Full refunds (minus deposit) are available if cancellation is made at least two weeks prior to the program start date
  • No refunds are available within two weeks of the program start date

Late Pick-Up Fees

Please arrive on time for pick-up.

  • Late pick-ups are charged $20 per 15-minute increment
  • If you anticipate being late, please call or text 505-886-1207

Sliding Scale Pricing

At Mountain Kids!, we believe every child deserves time to play, explore, and grow outdoors. Our sliding scale pricing helps make our summer camps accessible to families with a wide range of financial situations—so more kids can get outside and adventure with us.

Each camp offers multiple tuition options. Families are invited to select the option that works best for them—no application required. All campers receive the same high-quality Mountain Kids! experience, regardless of tuition level.

Tuition supports:

  • Fair wages and training for our instructors
  • Low staff-to-camper ratios
  • Equipment, permits, transportation, and program supplies

  • Supported Rate – A flexible rate for families who need some support to participate.
  • Community Rate – Our most flexible rate, designed to support participation for families who need additional assistance.
