Our 2026 Winter/Spring Programs
Throughout the winter and spring we will be running a variety of programs, including:
- In-School Programming
- Outdoor Equity Four Seasons Program — Seasonal field trips for underserved students from Title 1 schools in Santa Fe to connect them with local mountains and community adventures. Each field trip includes a pre-trip school visit, followed by a full day in the mountains!
- Tentative Winter Dates: Thursday, Feb. 12, 26, Mar. 5, & Mar. 12
- Tentative Spring Dates: Thursday, Apr. 9,16, Apr. 23, & Apr. 30

Position: Winter/Spring Field Instructor (Multiple Openings)
We are seeking caring, responsible, outgoing, and fun-loving outdoor educators who are passionate about nature and committed to the growth and development of children. Field Instructors co-lead small groups, creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for exploration and adventure. You’ll facilitate outdoor activities, games, and hikes; model respect for people, property, and the natural world; and help participants build confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Co-leading groups of students and fostering a close-knit community
- Ensuring the daily health, safety, and well-being of your group
- Facilitating engaging outdoor activities and adventures
- Modeling clear communication, problem-solving, and respectful behavior
- Participating in weekly staff meetings and contributing to a collaborative team environment
Ideal candidates will have:
- Outdoor experience with knowledge of safety and preparedness (or willingness to learn)
- Experience working with children ages 5–12
- Strong group management, communication, and organizational skills
- Positive attitude, high energy, and flexibility
- Ability to work the entire fall season
- A clean driving record and ability to drive a 15-passenger van
- Current Wilderness First Aid & CPR certification
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to speak Spanish
- Must be 18 or older (21+ to drive vans)
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
- Current Wilderness First Aid & Child/Adult CPR certification
Season Dates: ~ January 27 – May 22, 2026**
**Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who will stay on and work as a Field Instructor for Summer Camp (and beyond).
Hours: Variable depending on scheduled programming.
- Minimum: 22-24 hours per week
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Compensation: $18 – $22 per hour depending on experience.
